What is MyRepublic Event Broadband?

MyRepublic Event Broadband provides temporary internet connectivity for events: from roadshows lasting a few days but require quick deployment to more complex, larger-scale events like conferences and conventions.

 

Specifically, MyRepublic Event Broadband focuses on the provision of one or more lines of high-speed fibre broadband to a qualified event location, including the required Optical Network Terminal (ONT) i.e. the modem for connecting networking equipment to.

 

In terms of available bandwidth options, your MyRepublic Event Broadband connection(s) can be provisioned up to 1Gbps or set up dual 1Gbps connections i.e. 1Gbps + 1Gbps bandwidth, without any apps being speed throttling.

 

Additionally, depending on your needs, we can also provide setup and testing for your event WiFi network, customised landing pages with your event’s branding, and data analytics to gather insights on your event participants.

How do I get a quote for event Wi-Fi for my event?

You should first submit your details using the contact form below. We will then get back to you within 1 business day to understand your requirements better.

 

We’d likely need information such as the duration of the event, its location, whether you’d need cabling work or assistance setting up the WiFi. You may also be interested in having the event co-branded with MyRepublic or some help with marketing support. Generally the more we know the better we can help make your event for your attendees or viewers.

How does setting up an internet connection for an event work?

After we’ve spoken with you about your event’s internet requirements and expectations, we’ll conduct a site survey at the event’s location. There we’ll map out your setup and note if there any specific technical demands.

 

Following this we will coordinate with your IT and/or System Integrator (SI) on when and how to bring your event’s entire connectivity setup together.

 

If you do not have an appointed SI, we can help arrange one to help with the physical installation of cabling and access points.

 

Next, we’ll conduct a pre-installation visit and test the activated internet connection at least 1 day before the event. If the setup is more complex, we’ll provide additional testing as necessary.
