Friends with Benefits Program – Mobile (“Program”) Terms & Conditions

An existing MyRepublic customer (“Referrer”) may earn rewards in the form of Referral Credits by introducing interested new customers (“Referree” or “Referrees”) to sign-up for an eligible MyRepublic mobile plan (“Service Plan”). These Program Terms and Conditions shall come into force upon the Referrer’s and Referee’s participation in this Program. Capitalised terms not defined in these Terms and Conditions have the same meaning as given to them in the Mobile General Terms & Conditions.

  1. Eligibility
    1.1.   The Referrer’s account must be active and in good credit standing, without any prior suspension.

    1.2.   The Program is available for online or offline sign-ups and must only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  2. Referral Credits
    2.1.  Referral Credits will only be awarded if the Referee submits both the Referrer’s and Referee’s Customer ID number via the web form accessible at https://myrepublic.net/sg/mobile-referral-form/ within two (2) weeks after the application for the Service Plan is completed. If all the details submitted through the web form are legitimate and correct, and all eligibility requirements under the Program are met, the Referrer and Referee will both be eligible for Referral Credits as set out in Clause 2.3 below, which will be used to offset against their monthly bill.

    2.2. 
    Referral Credits will only be awarded if the Referee successfully  signs up to a new Service Plan during the period of 24 June to 31 December 2021 (“Promotion Period”) and maintains his/her subscription to the same Service Plan (or another eligible Service Plan under this Program) for at least three (3) consecutive months. Referees who are existing customers (including mobile customers) of MyRepublic are also eligible for this Program if they sign up for a new Service Plan (of a same or different type) and all other eligibility requirements are met. We reserve the right to reject referrals at our sole discretion for any reason.

    2.3.  Referral Credit tiers:

    Number of Referees 

    Referral Credits to both Referrer and Referee

    (Up to a maximum of 10)

    One-time $2 per Referee (per line)

    2.4.  Referral Credits will be awarded to both Referrer and Referee within 3 months from the date of web form submission if the Referee:
    (a) successfully signs up to any of the following Service Plan during the Promotional Period:
    (i) Core Plan;
    (ii) Pro Plan;
    (iii) Value Plan;
    (iv) Unlimited Data Plan;
    (v) MyRepublic 18 Plan

    (b) maintains his/her subscription to the Service Plan signed up to (or another eligible Service Plan under this Program) for at least three (3) consecutive months;
    (c) makes timely payment in full for the first 2 billing cycles; and
    (d) has an “active” Service Plan at the time of credit.

    2.5. 
    The crediting of Referral Credits to any account (whether a Referrer or Referee account) is subject to the account remaining “active” and in good credit standing at the point of crediting, without any prior suspension.

    2.6.   Referral Credits will not be awarded to both the Referrer and Referee if:
    (a the Referee did not accurately enter Referrer’s and Referee’s Customer ID number during the web form submission;
    (b) the Referee did not make timely payment in full for the first 2 billing cycles;
    (c)  the Referee elects to change his/her Service Plan to any other plan not under this Program at the time of the crediting; or
    (d)  the Referee’s account is suspended or terminated for any reason at the point of crediting.

    2.7.   Referral Credits are automatically used to offset against the Referrer’s and Referee’s monthly bill.

    2.8.   Any Referral Credits that have already been awarded will be forfeited if the Referee fails to make timely payment in full for the first 2 billing cycles.

    2.9.   Referral Credits cannot be transferred, exchanged for any cash or money, or sold

  3. General

    3.1.   We shall not be responsible or held liable for any loss or damages of any kind, regardless of the type of claim or legal theory asserted, suffered or incurred by or in connection with (a) participation in the Program; (b) any claim attributable to errors, omissions or other inaccuracies in the Program or any Referral Credits; or (c) the use of any Referral Credits by any person.

    3.2. 
     We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or vary these Program Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion without prior notice. In such event, we shall not have any liability whatsoever. Our decision on all matters relating to the Program and Referral Credits is final and binding. No correspondence or claims will be entered into regarding such matters.

    3.3. 
     A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.

    3.4.   Nothing in these Terms and Conditions gives you the right to use, reproduce, adapt or exploit any of MyRepublic’s trademarks, copyright, patent, proprietary information, and all other intellectual property rights owned or licensed to MyRepublic, whether registered or not, or to use any trademark which resembles MyRepublic’s trademarks in a manner that is likely to cause confusion or deception.

    3.5.   In the event of any inconsistency between these Program Terms and Conditions and any marketing or promotional material relating to Program, these Terms shall prevail.

    3.6.   These Program Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore law, and you agree to submit any claim, dispute or controversy to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
