Home Voice Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to MyRepublic’s Home Voice Service (the “Service”). In addition to these Specific Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions as well as the applicable service plan, shall also apply. Taken together, these Terms and Conditions may be amended by us from time to time. It is your responsibility to be aware of such changes, which will take effect when posted on our Website. All references to “we”, “us” and “our”, are to MyRepublic.

  1. Service Activation

    1. Registration for the Service requires possession of one MyRepublic High Speed Fibre Broadband account. In the event that the MyRepublic High Speed Fibre Broadband account is terminated for whatever reason, the Service Account will be automatically terminated.

    2. You shall provide all internal wiring for the purposes of the installation of the Service.

    3. The Service requires the use of a type-approved equipment such as an Analog Telephone Adaptor (“ATA”) provided by MyRepublic.

    4. All IDD, other premium service calls and any value added services will be chargeable at prevailing rates.

    5. The Service is provided by MyRepublic to you for your personal residential use only. You may not use the Service for commercial purposes, resell the Service or transfer your Service Account to third parties, unless otherwise expressly agreed by MyRepublic in writing. “Service Account” refers to the account you have with us, as registered by you, for your use of and access to the Service.

    6. We may, at our sole discretion, reject your application for the Service and/or any request for changes to the Service Account, for any reason or no reason.

    7. In the event that you are not satisfied with the Service or this Agreement, your sole and exclusive remedy is to terminate our provision of the Service by calling our Customer Support team, and giving us one (1) day of prior notice.

    8. You will be charged a one-time activation fee by us for activating the Service.

    9. Your Service Number may be listed in the Singapore Phone Book or other applicable directory, unless otherwise agreed. You may apply to have the Service Number de-listed, upon payment of the prevailing administrative charges. “Service Number” means any number, including any telephone number, assigned to you by MyRepublic for your use and access of the Service in respect of your Service Account.

    10. We have the right, at any time, to modify any aspect or feature of the Service. We have the right, at any time, to amend any rules, rates, fees, Charges, and/or terms and conditions in respect of the Service, by publishing such amendments on our Website. “Charges” means any and all fees and charges to be paid by you in respect of the Service, as published by us from time to time.

    11. You are fully and solely responsible for any and all use of the Service Account, including but not limited to bearing any and all payment obligations and Charges arising from your Service Account, whether incurred by you or any other person, whether authorised and/or supervised by you.

    12. You must ensure that all use of the Service Account and Service, whether by you or any other person, fully complies with this Agreement, all rules that we may issue from time to time, and all applicable laws and regulations.

  2. Service Usage

    1. Each person may register for up to five (5) Service Accounts for the Service.

    2. The Service shall be available only on the mainland of Singapore.

    3. Under normal circumstances, the Service will be activated within the time stipulated at the time of subscription or a time shortly thereafter. However, due to a variety of operational circumstances, it may take longer for activation.

    4. In addition to any Service registration requirements prescribed by MyRepublic, you must provide us with a scanned copy of your identity card, passport or employment pass.

    5. The Service Number allocated to you is subject to availability and confirmed upon Service activation.

    6. You must provide accurate and true registration information in respect of your Service Account to us, including your name, address and identification number. You must promptly notify us of any changes to such information.

    7. You acknowledge and agree that we may record, monitor and/or maintain any of your registration information, the Service Number, and any other information in respect of the Service Account as may be required by the relevant authorities from time to time. Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, you hereby acknowledge and agree that we have no obligation to provide any data, and/or historical information relating to your Service Account to you, unless required by relevant laws and regulations.

    8. The Service does not include any equipment including at telephone which is required by you to make or receive calls or derive any other benefit from the Service, unless otherwise specifically provided by MyRepublic.

  3. Use of Service in Compliance with the Law

    1. You must use the Service for lawful purposes only, and in accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws, regulations and rules.

    2. You must not use the Service to transmit (or facilitate the transmission of) any material, message or content, or in any way or manner whatsoever, that (a) is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libellous, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, obscene or indecent, or is otherwise unlawful, offensive or inappropriate, or incites unlawful, hateful or criminal conduct; (b) infringes any rights of other persons (including without limitation, copyright and any other intellectual property rights or proprietary rights); and/or © infringes any of the rights (including without limitation intellectual property rights) of MyRepublic, its suppliers, content providers, advertisers and licensors in respect of or as contained in the Service. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you shall be fully and solely responsible for, and shall bear all the risks for, any material, message or content transmitted through your Service Account

    3. You must not use the Service to distribute or otherwise transmit any commercial advertisement or any bulk messages, unless otherwise expressly agreed by us in writing prior to such distribution or transmission.

    4. Unless we provide our written consent to the contrary, you acknowledge and agree that (a) the Service is provided for your personal residential use only; (b) you shall not resell the Service to other persons whether for profit or otherwise and you shall not charge other persons for use of the Service; and © you shall not use the Service to operate as a service provider.

    5. You shall not use or cause such use of the Service to transmit any material, content, or any other adverse programming routine that may, or is likely to (a) interrupt, disrupt, congest, adversely impact or harm our network, the Service, or the systems or networks of any other persons; and/or (b) adversely affect other customers’ use, enjoyment and/or experience in respect of the Service and/or our network.

    6. You acknowledge and agree that, in the event that we suspect that your Service Account is used for illegal or improper activities, we may inform the relevant authorities and/or act in conformity with the relevant authorities’ directions or guidelines, without prior notice to you

    7. You acknowledge and agree that we shall have the right (but not the obligation) to monitor any and all transmission via the Service and the Service Account, that we shall have the right and sole discretion to determine whether the transmission violates this Agreement or any applicable laws and/or regulations, and that you shall abide by such right, discretion and determination as may be exercised by us.

    8. You acknowledge and agree that we shall have the right and sole discretion to block, filter, remove, limit, delete or modify any material or content transmitted by you or others through the Service Account and Service in the event that such material or content violates any part of the Agreement or the rights of any third party.

    9. You acknowledge and agree that any change of Service Number in respect of the Service Account shall be subject to MyRepublic’s sole discretion, and that MyRepublic may impose an administrative fee for such change. You acknowledge the other one-time fees that may be imposed by MyRepublic as may be listed on its Website from time to time.

  4. Product Warranty & Service Constraints

    1. Unless otherwise provided, equipment provided to you by MyRepublic including equipment to make the Service operate is not guaranteed by MyRepublic. This equipment carries manufacturer’s product warranties, and you shall refer to the manufacturer directly for the full details and charges for after-sales support. MyRepublic shall not be liable for product warranty, repair or other product related issues in connection with the supply of this equipment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the ATA shall come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty which will be supported by MyRepublic.

    2. You acknowledge that certain security alarm systems, PABX, key phones, computers or wireless equipment may conflict with the provisioning of the Service. It is your responsibility to check with the respective vendors to ensure compatibility of such products with the Service. We will not be liable to you for any damage caused to an incompatible product.

    3. You acknowledge that the Service will not be able to support facsimile service.

  5. Liability Arising from Service

    1. Neither MyRepublic nor any of its corporate parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, nor any employees, officers or directors of the foregoing warrant that the Service will be accessible, reliable or available, or be without disruption, interruption or errors. You hereby acknowledge and agree that the use of the Service is at your sole risk, and that the functionality of the Service is dependent on factors beyond our control, including without limitation the network, systems, settings, policies and infrastructure of your Internet service provider, overall network condition, force majeure events (including any and all acts of God), loss of electricity, acts of third parties, and numbers of users accessing our network, the Service, and their compliance with our rules in respect thereof.

    2. The Service and any work performed by us in respect of the Service, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind whatsoever, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

    3. Neither MyRepublic nor any of its corporate parents, affiliates, subsidiaries nor any employees, officers or directors of the foregoing shall have any liability whatsoever in respect of any loss of data suffered arising from the use of the Service and/or the Service Account, howsoever caused.

    4. Under no circumstances shall MyRepublic be liable to you.

  6. Suspension and Termination

    1. In addition to any grounds set forth in the General Terms and Conditions, we may also terminate this Agreement and/or suspend the Service Account if:

      1. you have breached the terms and conditions of any other services provided by MyRepublic, including without limitation, our High Speed Fibre Broadband service;

      2. as result of factors beyond our control, including without limitation, acts of God, natural disaster, regulation or acts of government authorities (including removal of any applicable licence and issuance of court order), fire, civil disturbance, strike or weather, failures by our suppliers, we are unable to provide the Service; or

      3. we subsequently decide to discontinue the operation and provision of the Service.

  7. Indemnification

    1. You hereby agree to fully indemnify, defend and hold harmless MyRepublic and all of its corporate parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and all employees, officers and directors of the foregoing from and against any and all claims, losses, damages and expenses (including legal expenses) arising out of the use of the Service and/or the use of your Service Account whether by you or other persons, and/or arising out of any third party’s republication of contents and materials transmitted from your Service Account.

  8. Governing Law

    1. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Singapore.

  9. Fair Usage Policy
    1. At MyRepublic, we want all of our customers to get the best calling plans, known as ‘subscriptions’, at the lowest possible price. This Fair Usage Policy (“FUP”) is designed to prevent fraud and abuse of our subscriptions by a small number of users.

    2. Subject to this FUP, MyRepublic’s unlimited local calls subscriptions allow unlimited calls to Singapore (excluding special, premium, service and non-geographic numbers). Unlimited calls to mobiles are also included. All calls will be disconnected and require a re-dial after a 5-hour duration.

    3. MyRepublic’s subscriptions are for individual use only (personal or business communications) in accordance with our Terms of Use and this FUP (“Legitimate Use”). The following is a non-exhaustive list of practices that would not be considered Legitimate Use:

      • Using subscriptions for telemarketing or call centre operations;

      • Re-selling subscription minutes;

      • Sharing subscriptions between users whether via a PBX, call centre, computer or any other means;

      • Calling numbers (whether singly, sequentially or automatically) to generate income for yourself or others as a result of placing the call, other than for your individual business communications; and

      • Unusual calling patterns inconsistent with normal, individual subscription use, for example, regular calls of short duration or calls to multiple numbers in a short period of time.

    4. Other practices may be relevant in determining Legitimate Use and MyRepublic reserves the right to take any unlawful, prohibited, abnormal or unusual activity into account in making its determination. MyRepublic may at its option, terminate its relationship with you, or may suspend your subscription immediately if it determines you are using your subscription contrary to this FUP or MyRepublic’s Terms of Use. Where reasonable, MyRepublic will provide you with notice of improper usage before suspension or termination of your subscription and, if appropriate, MyRepublic may offer you an alternative subscription.

c. MyRepublic will not use your Personal Information for any purpose not permitted by law or beyond the stated purpose you have consented to.

d. The Card Con Website contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites. 

4. Who do we share your Personal Information to

a. Apart from our staff, we may share your personal information with third parties to perform obligations or carry out services to us, related to the provision our products or services to you. Those entities may include:
(i) companies related to us;
(ii) our business partners, marketing partners and authorised service providers;
(iii) our professional advisors; and
(iv) our suppliers.

b. We are required to disclose your Personal Information to the parties described above so that they may carry out their obligations to us, and to you. Our disclosure of your Personal Information may, at times, be subject to their privacy policies. To every extent possible, we require these parties to act consistently with the personal information protections we have put in place.

c. We also reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information to law enforcement agencies, government regulators and our professional advisers, to the extent necessary as required by appliable laws.

d. If you post information on any of our Websites or social media platforms, any information on your post, such as your user name, may be seen by other visitors. 

5. How long do we retain your Personal Information

We retain your Personal Information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, for legal or business purposes of MyRepublic, or as required or allowed by law. We will cease to retain such Personal Data when it is no longer required for the foregoing purposes. 

6. How you can access and update your Personal Information

a. You must ensure your listed customer details are current, complete and accurate. You may correct or update your customer details by contacting our Customer Support.

b. If you require access or a copy of your Personal Information within our possession, please contact us according to Clause 11 and we will assess your request. In some cases, we may impose a reasonable charge for making copies of Personal Information available to you. If so, we will advise you of the charge prior to making the information available to you. 

7. Withdrawing your Consent

a. You may request to withdraw your consent by contacting us according to Clause 11. Your request for withdrawal of consent will take effect within 30 days upon receipt of your request. Please note that use of your personal data may be essential for us to provide the product or service that you subscribed. Therefore, your withdrawal of consent may impair our ability to continue providing the product or service to you. Your withdrawal of consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where permitted or required under applicable laws.

b. If you wish to withdraw your consent to receive marketing messages about our exclusive offers from us or our business partners, please contact our Customer Support or unsubscribe from our newsletter. Your request will be processed within 30 days. Non-marketing messages including product and service updates and notices will not be affected by your consent withdrawal. 

8. Protecting Your Personal Data

We take reasonable physical, technical and administrative steps to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or modification of Personal Information. However, please understand that the transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network may be subject to loss, interception and misuse. We do not represent, warrant or undertake that your Personal Information transmitted through online means will remain secure, and disclaim all liability arising from such transmission. 

9. Overseas Transfers

We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy and the data protection legislation when it is processed in, or otherwise accessed from, a location outside Singapore. In order to ensure the highest level of protection. MyRepublic abides by PDPA data standards.

a. Cookies helps us to provide you with a better customer experience, when browsing our Sites. Cookies are small data files and may contain unique identifiers stored on your device by an online site. When you use our Site, we may collect standard information that is sent from your browser to our Website, including technical and statistical information.

b. You can usually choose to set your browser settings to manage Cookies. If you choose to remove or reject Cookies, you may not be able to access all or parts of our Website or services. 

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may review, amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior written notice. Updates to the Privacy Policy will be published on this page. Card Con – Visitor Terms and Conditions

By registering for Card Con, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) govern the registration and participation of attendees (“Attendees“) in Card Con by MyRepublic (“Card Con“), organised by MyRepublic (“Organiser“).

1.2 By registering for Card Con, Participants agree to comply with these Terms and the Card Con Privacy Policy.

2. Registration

2.1 Registration for Card Coins free of charge.

2.2 Attendees must provide accurate and complete information during the online registrationon the Card Con website at https://myrepublic.net/sg/card-con/ (“Website”) and must present their QR code upon registration at Card Con.

2.3 MyRepublic reserves the right to refuse or revoke an Attendee’s registration at its sole discretion.

3. Event Conduct

3.1 Attendees shall conduct themselves respectfully and follow all rules set by the Organiser.

3.2 Any disruptive, illegal, or inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to harassment, cheating or other misconduct, may result in immediate removal from the Event.

3.3 Attendees must adhere to all venue rules and regulations.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Attendees shall not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights during Card Con.

4.2 Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or possession of copyrighted or trademarked materials is strictly prohibited.

4.3 The Organiser may take appropriate action against any Attendeefound violating intellectual property laws, including but not limited to removal from Card Con.

4.4 The Organiser disclaims all liability to the Attendees and any third parties for the infringement of laws, regulations, intellectual property rights, and venue requirements by the exhibitors, vendors and Attendees.

5. Liability Disclaimer

5.1 Subject to applicable law, the Organiser, the venue, the vendor, and the exhibitors disclaim all liability for any injury, damage or loss of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury, loss, or damage to property suffered by Attendees during the Event, even if it is caused by the negligence, omission, or fault of the Organiser, its employees, officers, agents, or sub-contractors in connection with the Website, or Card Con.

5.2 The Organiser shall not be responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from transactions or interactions between Attendees, or between Attendees and the exhibitors at Card Con.

5.3 Attendees attend Card Con at their own risk and are responsible for their own personal belongings.

6. Photography and Media Release

6.1 The Organiser may take photographs, videos, or other recordings during Card Confor promotional purposes.

6.2 By attending Card Con, Attendeesconsent to the use of their likeness in such media without compensation.

7. Tournament & Prize Terms (If Applicable)

7.1 Tournament participants must follow official tournament rules and regulations.

7.2 Prizes are non-transferable, and non-exchangeable.

7.3 Any disputes will be resolved by the Organiser or its appointed vendors, and their decision will be final.

8. Amendments and Cancellation

8.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice.

8.2 The Organiser may cancel, postpone, or modify Card Conat its sole discretion without liability.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

9.2 Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
