1. Introduction
1.1 Program Overview
Welcome to the MyRewards Program (“Program”), offered by MyRepublic Limited (“MyRepublic”). By participating in the Program, Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). All references to “we”, “us” and “our”, are to MyRepublic and its related companies
1.2 Modifications
MyRepublic may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on its website (the “Website”). It is Customer’s responsibility to be aware of such changes, which will become automatically effective when posted on our Website. Customer’s continued access to or participation in the Program after changes are posted signifies Customer’s acceptance of the updated Terms.
1.3 Related Terms
In addition to these Terms, Customer acknowledges that MyRepublic’s General Terms and Conditions, Website Terms of Use, App Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy also apply. Where there is a conflict, these Terms shall prevail for issues specifically related to MyRewards.
2. Definitions
- “Customer”: A user with an active MyRepublic mobile plan who is eligible for MyRewards benefits.
- “Cashback”: A monetary reward (funded by third-party merchants) that is credited to Customer’s MyRepublic Mobile billing account to offset MyRepublic mobile charges.
- “Discount”: Any promotional code, coupon, or instant reduction in price offered through the Program for a merchant’s product or service.
- “Offer”: A Cashback or Discount benefit being provided to Customer.
- “Merchant”: A third-party provider of goods or services that extends Cashback or Discounts to Customers through the Program.
- “Website”: MyRepublic’s website https://myrepublic.net/sg/
- “App”: MyRepublic’s mobile application as available in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Active Mobile Plans
- Only Customers with an active MyRepublic mobile plan are eligible to earn and redeem Cashback or Discounts. Once Customer’s last eligible plan is terminated, Customer will no longer accumulate or redeem any new Cashback or Discounts.
- All eligible Customers will be able to see and use the MyRewards program via the MyRepublic mobile App. In case a customer is unable to view or access this via the App, they may contact MyRepublic’s Customer Service via the App.
3.2 Compliance with Terms
- Participation in the Program requires adherence to these Terms as well as any Merchant-specific terms.
4. Earning & Redeeming Cashback
4.1 Qualifying Transactions
- To earn Cashback, Customer must:
- 1. Access the Merchant’s site or offer page directly via the App.
- 2. Complete the purchase during a single session (i.e., without clicking away to other ads, apps, or websites).
- 3. If Customer fails to complete the purchase in the same session or navigate away from the merchant’s page before checkout, Customer will not be eligible to earn any Cashback for that transaction.
- 4. Customer may need to restart the process (i.e., click through again from the MyRepublic App) if Customer’s session times out or Customer leaves the page.
- 5. Comply with any additional Merchant rules (e.g., minimum spend, excluded product categories).
- 6. Cashback is only applicable for orders placed while the Customer is physically located in Singapore.
4.2 Tracking & Credit
- Processing Time: Cashback typically appears in Customer’s account within 150 days of the transaction date, subject to successful tracking and the Merchant’s policies.
- Pending Transactions: After completing the qualifying purchase, MyRepublic will update Customer’s transaction status to “Pending” in the App. Pending status means the merchant has acknowledged the transaction but has not yet confirmed the Cashback. Confirmation and crediting typically occur within 150 days, subject to successful merchant validation and any relevant return or cancellation windows.
- Billing Account Application: Once credited, Cashback automatically offsets Customer’s next MyRepublic mobile bill generated. Any balance exceeding that bill amount will roll over to subsequent bills until fully utilized.
- Refunds/Cancellations: If Customer refunds, cancels, or exchanges a purchase, any corresponding Cashback (or Discount) may be revoked or reversed.
4.3 Restrictions & Exclusions
- Merchants will exclude taxes, shipping fees, or other charges from the Cashback calculation, unless stated otherwise.
- Merchant-specific terms (e.g., minimum spend, excluded categories) may apply. Always review the merchant’s offer details before purchase.
4.4 Limitations & Forfeitures
- If Customer terminates their MyRepublic plan(s), any uncredited or unused Cashback is forfeited.
- MyRepublic reserves the right to reverse any incorrectly applied Cashback or in the event of suspected fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.
5. Redemption of Offline Offers
5.1 Offer Identification
- Some merchants provide in-store redemption offers, referred to as “Show & Go.” Customer receive a Promo code, QR code, barcode, PIN, or similar identifier via MyRewards.
- This Promo code, QR code, barcode, or PIN may be sent to Customer via SMS, e-mail, push notification on the App, or via the App.
5.2 Redemption at Point of Sale
- To enjoy the Discount or Offer for an in-store purchase, Customer must present the relevant code or identifier at the merchant’s point-of-sale (“POS”) terminal prior to completing payment.
- Failure to present the code before payment may result in forfeiture of the Discount or Cashback for that transaction.
- Some offers may require Customer to present the relevant code or identifier prior to placing the order. It is best practice to let the Merchant know that the Customer wishes to redeem this Discount before placing the order.
5.3 Validity & Expiration
- Each Show & Go offer may have specific validity periods, usage caps, or merchant restrictions. Check the details accompanying the code (e.g., expiration date, maximum usage per day).
- If the code or identifier is expired, invalid, or misused, Customer will not qualify for the associated Discount.
5.4 Proof of Eligibility
- Merchants may request additional proof of identity or eligibility (e.g., membership ID, mobile number associated with Customer’s MyRepublic account). If Customer fails to provide the requested proof, the merchant may decline to honor the offer.
5.5 Refunds & Exchanges
- If Customer refunds or exchanges items purchased via Show & Go, any corresponding Discount may be revoked or adjusted.
- Additional rules may apply depending on the merchant’s refund policy.
6. General Provisions for All Offers
6.1 Non-Transferable
- All Offers (Online or Offline) are non-transferable and may only be used by the Customer to whom they are issued, unless explicitly stated otherwise by MyRepublic or the merchant.
6.2 No Cash Value
- Discounts and/or codes have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged, traded, or redeemed for cash unless expressly permitted by the merchant’s terms.
6.3 Merchant Terms
- Always review the applicable merchant’s terms and conditions for additional constraints, including limitations on combining offers or stacking with other promotions.
6.4 MyRepublic Liability
- MyRepublic acts solely as a facilitator, providing Customer with access to offers. MyRepublic is not responsible for product or service quality, merchant performance, or any errors in the code/identifier generation.
6.5 Termination & Changes
- MyRepublic and/or the participating merchant may suspend, amend, or terminate specific offers at any time without notice. Offers are subject to availability and merchant discretion.
7. Third-Party Merchants & Offers
7.1 Independent Operators
- Merchants are independent third parties. Any contract for goods or services is between Customer and Merchant. MyRepublic simply facilitates access to these offers and is not responsible for product quality, service fulfillment, or any Merchant actions.
7.2 Accuracy of Offers
- While MyRepublic makes reasonable efforts to display accurate Merchant information, it does not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or currency of third-party offers. It is Customer’s responsibility to verify Merchant terms before completing a transaction.
7.3 Dispute Resolution
- If Customer has a dispute with a Merchant regarding Cashback or Discounts, MyRepublic will use commercially reasonable efforts to assist in resolving it but does not assume liability for the Merchant’s actions or omissions.
8. Reporting Discrepancies
8.1 Customer Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for monitoring their Cashback balance or Discount usage. If Customer notices any errors, omissions, or discrepancies, they must notify MyRepublic at https://intercom.help/myrepublicsg/en/articles/8768257-we-re-here-to-help within 120–180 days of the transaction date. Thereafter, Customer waives their right to make any claim against such issues, problems, omissions, inaccuracy or discrepancies. Any correction made by MyRepublic after the 120 – 180 days period will be at MyRepublic’s discretion.
8.2 Final Decision
- MyRepublic reserves the right to make the final determination regarding any claim of missing or incorrect Cashback or Discounts.
- Also, MyRepublic’s records shall be prima facie evidence of Customer’s compliance with relevant terms and conditions as well as whether a transaction has been successfully tracked by MyRepublic.
9. Termination & Suspension
9.1 Right to Suspend/Block
- MyRepublic may restrict, suspend, or terminate Customer’s participation in the Program (and forfeit any accrued Cashback) if Customer is found to have violated these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in fraud or abuse of the Program.
9.2 Program Discontinuation
- MyRepublic reserves the right to discontinue the Program in whole or in part at any time, with or without notice, without incurring liability.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
10.1 Use of Personal Data
- By participating in MyRewards, Customer agrees that MyRepublic may collect, use, store, and disclose Customer’s personal data in accordance with MyRepublic’s Privacy Policy (https://myrepublic.net/sg/legal/terms-of-use-policies/privacy-policy/). This may include sharing Customer’s information with relevant third parties (e.g., Merchants) as needed to administer and track offers.
10.2 Third-Party Sites
- When Customer leaves the App to complete a purchase on a Merchant’s site, that Merchant’s own privacy policy applies. MyRepublic is not responsible for the actions of any third party regarding personal data handling.
10.3 Consent
- As a user of MyRewards, Customer provides the necessary consent under Singapore legislation to receive any communications or correspondences that are related to MyRewards (such as updates to Customer’s account as well as offers from any merchants), via electronic mail and other means of communications.
11. Indemnity
- Customer agrees to indemnify and hold MyRepublic and each of its directors, officers, and employees, harmless from and against any loss, liability, claim, demand, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees arising out of or in connection with Customer’s use of the MyRewards Program, or any breach of these MyRewards Terms, or any other of its terms published on our Website.
12. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
12.1 “As-Is” Basis
- The Program is provided “as is” and “as available.” MyRepublic makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation, availability, or accuracy of the Program or associated offers.
12.2 Exclusion of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyRepublic disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Program, including transaction tracking errors, Merchant disputes, or system outages.
12.3 Liability Cap
- Where liability cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, MyRepublic’s total liability for any claim related to the Program shall not exceed S$100.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
14. General Provisions
14.1 Severability
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14.2 No Waiver
- A delay or failure to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
14.3 Third-Party Rights
- Unless specifically stated, a person who is not a party to these Terms has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any term of these Terms.
14.4 Entire Agreement
- These Terms represent the entire agreement between MyRepublic and the Customer regarding the MyRewards Program, superseding any prior agreements or communications.
15. Launch Promotion
- The first 1000 Customers that transact on the MyRewards platform in the first 30 days are eligible for an additional S$5 Cashback to their mobile account.
- This is limited to one transaction per Customer.
- The additional Cashback will be credited to their account only if the first transaction is deemed eligible as per the terms above.
