Tech Sale Gadget Giveaway Terms & Conditions

The MyRepublic Tech Sale Gadget Giveaway (the “Contest”) is organized by MyRepublic Limited (“we”, “our”, us”, and “MyRepublic”). By participating in this Contest, you agree and understand that you will be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and by any decisions made by us relating to the Contest or these Terms.

1. Contest Entries

1.1.    The Contest will run from 2 September 2021 to 5 October 2021. All entries must be received by 23:59 hours on 5 October 2021 (GMT +08:00).

1.2.    Only completed entries with the most creative answers on our website at https://myrepublic.net/sg/sep-tech-sale-giveaway/ will be eligible for the Contest prizes.

1.3.    21 winners will be chosen from the eligible entries and contacted via email by 19 October 2021.

2. Eligibility

2.1.    To be eligible for this Contest, you must, at the time of participation, winner selection, and prize collection:

(i) be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, or have a dependent, diplomatic, student, or employment pass with a validity period of at least six (6) months;

(ii) be at least 18 years of age;

(iii) have an active MyRepublic broadband or mobile subscription registered to your name; and

(iv) not have any outstanding payments due to us.

2.2.    Employees of MyRepublic and their immediate families, MyRepublic sponsors, agents, suppliers, as well as MyRepublic Partner Program members who are associated with this Contest, are not eligible to participate.

2.3.   We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the terms of this Contest, including but not limited to entries that are incomplete, ineligible, or contain incorrect information.

3. Prizes

3.1.   Each winner will receive one (1) of the prizes below. Prizes will be randomly awarded to the winners:

• PS4 Pro Party 1TB Bundle (worth $629.00)
• PS4 Mega Pack 2 1TB Bundle (worth $449.00)

• Samsung Galaxy A70 – White (worth $498.00) 

3.2.    We reserve the right to select a number of “reserve winners” to replace any winner that is uncontactable, unable to collect or receive the prize, declines the prize, or is subsequently disqualified. The number of “reserve winners” and the manner of replacement will be made at our absolute discretion.

3.3.    The list of winners will be published on https://myrepublic.net/sg/sep-tech-sale-giveaway/, and winners will be contacted via their registered email within 30 days of the Contest results. Winners must provide their identification documents to claim their prize for verification and audit purposes. We reserve the right to award any prize to any of the “reserve winners” should the original winner of the prize be uncontactable, unable to collect or receive the prize, decline the prize, or is subsequently disqualified.

3.4.    Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable, and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. We have the right to substitute any prize for a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable laws, rules, regulations, or guidelines.

3.5.    Winners who terminate their MyRepublic plans before receipt of the prize will be disqualified and a “reserve winner” will be selected as the winner.

3.6.    The winners may be required to participate in a photo-taking session during the issuing of prizes.

3.7.    Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the winner’s part to allow the use of the winner’s name, image, voice and/or likeness by us for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing or other purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

3.8.   Acceptance of any prize shall release us from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Contest, (ii) personal injury or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use or enjoyment of the prize, and (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Contest, prize or use or enjoyment of the same.

4.  General

4.1.    Any misrepresentation of any fact or particulars by the participant shall result in disqualification and/or the forfeiture, withholding, withdrawal or reclaiming of any prizes won.

4.2.    We will endeavor to hold the Contest on and at the advertised date, time and venue and by the mode (manually or electronically) as advertised, but we reserve the right to, at our sole and absolute discretion, to not proceed with conducting the Contest, or to conduct the Contest in another mode or format in such circumstances as we may deem appropriate.

4.3.    MyRepublic makes no representation, warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, fitness for any purpose, or non-infringement.

4.4.    You agree and acknowledge that nothing in these Terms gives you the right to use, reproduce, adapt or exploit any of MyRepublic’s trademarks, copyrighted material, patents, proprietary information, or any other intellectual property rights owned or licensed to MyRepublic, whether registered or not, or to use any trademark which resembles MyRepublic’s trademark(s) in a manner that is likely to cause confusion or deception.

4.5.    By participating in this Contest, you hereby agree that any and all personal data submitted may be collected, used, or disclosed by us in connection with this Contest (including but not limited to your name, email address, voice and photo and/or videos taken during events related to or in connection with the Contest) by us for the purposes of advertising, marketing, as well as creation and distribution of promotional materials, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 2012 and MyRepublic’s Privacy Policy  (available at https://myrepublic.net/sg/legal/terms-of-use-policies/privacy-policy/), without further compensation, except where prohibited by applicable law.

4.6.    Non-compliance with or breach of any of these Terms applicable to the Contest, or dishonesty, fraud or any other illegal activities, shall immediately disqualify you from further participation at any stage of the Contest, and any prize won shall be forfeited, withheld or withdrawn.

4.7.    You shall not, without our prior written approval, speak to the press or any other media nor give any interviews or comments relating to the Contest.

4.8.    We shall not be liable for any expenses, losses, damages, costs or liabilities (collectively “Losses”) suffered or incurred (directly or indirectly) by you from your participating in the Contest, howsoever caused or arising, even if we are advised of such losses.

4.9.    We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or vary these Terms and/or the Contest at our sole discretion without prior notice. In such event, we shall not have any liability whatsoever. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Contest, these Terms shall prevail.

4.10.    Our decision on all matters relating to the Contest and winners is final and binding. No correspondence or claims regarding such matters will be entertained.

4.11.    A person who is not a party to these Terms shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce these Terms.

4.12.    This Contest shall be governed by Singapore law, and any claim, dispute or controversy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
