These Terms and Conditions apply to MyRepublic’s Broadband Service and value-added packages including Pure, Gamer and Business packages (collectively “Services”).In addition to these Specific Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the General Terms and Conditions shall also apply. Taken together, these Terms and Conditions may be amended by us from time to time. It is your responsibility to be aware of such changes, which will take effect when posted on our Website. All references to “we”, “us” and “our”, are to MyRepublic.

  1. Service Activation

    1. Availability. The MyRepublic broadband Service is available for access and use only at premises connected to the Singapore National Broadband Network, and your premises must be connected before your MyRepublic Service can be activated.

    2. Equipment Provided by You. Unless we agree otherwise, you must obtain and maintain at your own cost all necessary equipment to access and use our Services. All equipment used by you to access the Service must be type-approved with the relevant regulatory authority.

    3. Equipment Provided to You. Network equipment provided by us includes a manufacturer’s warranty depending on the broadband equipment. Unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing, this network equipment is provided to you from the recommended partner, not MyRepublic, and MyRepublic is not responsible for them, nor is it responsible for any other equipment used to access the Service. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any defects shall be according to the manufacturer’s warranty. If the equipment is faulty upon arrival, please notify MyRepublic or the recommended partner that it is faulty and a replacement will be sent to you as soon as possible. If you use other network equipment, we cannot guarantee compatibility or provide installation support or any on-going support.

    4. Reasonable Treatment of Equipment. You must keep any network equipment used to access the Service in a suitable place for the equipment to properly function, including any necessary electrical power supply.

  2. Conditions of Use

    1. Residential Services for Residential Use. Our residential services are provided exclusively for use by residential customers and may not be used for business use.

We cannot guarantee that the Service will never be faulty, however we will respond to all reported faults as soon as is reasonably possible.

    4. Line Speed & Performance.  In activating the Broadband Service you acknowledge, agree and accept that:

      1. the Transmission Speed may be affected by other factors for example network capacity, use at peak traffic times, traffic management or customer equipment and therefore the actual throughput speed on your line may differ from the estimated line speed you accepted;

      2. due to contention on the telecommunications network and other factors outside our control the speed of Broadband Service may vary from time to time;

      3. as the actual Service experience (such as actual throughput speed) is also dependent on various factors (such as the individual in-home set-up and other variables) that may be beyond MyRepublic’s control, MyRepublic will not be responsible for the quality of the Service beyond the MyRepublic-issued ONT or modem;

      4. the speed and limitations of your chosen access Equipment may affect the Transmission Speed that we can provide you; and

      5. we therefore cannot guarantee that maximum Transmission Speeds can be obtained at any time.

      We will endeavour to inform you of any issues, and attempt to resolve them, as soon as is reasonably possible.
