- MyRepublic Mobile
StarHub and MyRepublic Group Limited (“MyRepublic”) today announced an expanded partnership where MyRepublic is moving all of its 4G subscribers onto the StarHub network. The agreement builds on the companies’ existing MVNO 5G wholesale partnership established in 2022 and follows StarHub’s acquisition of MyRepublic Broadband last year.
Nikhil Eapen, Chief Executive Officer, StarHub, said: “With this step, we further extend our already significant lead in revenue market share as Singapore’s strong number two mobile operator. We have also taken another step toward leading the ongoing consolidation of Singapore’s telecommunications market. Finally, this further strengthens our multi-brand strategy, with both mobile and broadband offered through distinct brands that serve different customer needs.”
“We’re building a stronger consumer business with every opportunity to serve more customers,” said Matt Williams, CEO (designate) and Chief of Consumer Business Group, StarHub. “Together with the migration of redONE subscribers to eight on the StarHub network, this builds greater scale across our business. As the market evolves, we’ll continue to pursue opportunities that strengthen our business, create lasting value for customers and enable more people to benefit from a network they can rely on.”
MyRepublic Chief Executive Officer, Vaughan Baker, commented: “The ability to enable our 4G customers to experience a service underpinned by StarHub’s network, just as our 5G customers do today, reflects the further strengthening of the quality of partnership between our two organisations. There is no need for MyRepublic 4G customers to do anything at this stage. Our customer service team will be in touch soon to ensure a smooth network transition.”
MyRepublic Mobile customers will continue to enjoy seamless access to StarHub’s nationwide 4G and 5G network throughout the transition.
