16 October 2018, Singapore – MyRepublic has begun offering TVB Anywhere Premium as a value-added service. Aside from being the first service provider in Singapore to do so, it is the first time MyRepublic has offered an over-the-top (OTT) TV service to its customers. The offer was first made available to customers on 7 October 2018.
TVB Anywhere SG is TVB’s official OTT streaming app, and is currently available on both the App Store and the Google Play store. With TVB Anywhere, audiences no longer require a cable TV subscription to catch their favourite TVB serials, and can watch them on-the-go on their mobile phones or tablets.
The app has two “Zones” of content – Basic and Premium. The Basic Zone is free and provides access to a selection of variety and drama shows. The Premium Zone not just unlocks access to the full library of TVB programmes for over 10,000 hours of content. It also includes same-day, same-time simulcast of ongoing Hong Kong TVB Jade drama series.
Current MyRepublic mobile and broadband customers can enjoy their first 3 months of TVB Anywhere Premium for free, and at a special rate of $4.98 per month thereafter (U.P. $5.98 per month). Customers can conveniently subscribe to MyRepublic TVB Anywhere Premium via MyAccount, and the subscription will be part of their monthly MyRepublic bill. As a value-added service, we do not tie the TVB Anywhere subscription to any contract. Instead, customers can choose to subscribe or unsubscribe to the service at any time.
New and recontracting broadband customers can also sign up for the Ultra TVB Anywhere Premium Bundle at $44.98/month. This comes with a free TVB Anywhere Premium subscription throughout its 2-year contract, in addition to other perks.
Either of these subscriptions methods will unlock TVB Anywhere Premium access on up to 3 mobile devices or tablets.
