Telstra is about to get the internet broadband competitor its former boss feared most. Singaporean company MyRepublic promises to deliver cheaper and faster home internet connections.
The Australian broadband market has traditionally been dominated by just a few major providers. The likes of Telstra, Optus and TPG are the only telcos big enough to afford the huge network infrastructure costs that go into providing us with our home internet.
MyRepublic is a Singaporean internet start-up led by co-founder Malcolm Rodrigues that offers unlimited broadband at super-fast speeds for low prices.
